LONDON: When it comes to health and beauty it is important to educate people in the West on the benefits of slow, sustainable and holistic approaches rather than just quick fixes, a specialist has said.
“We have to educate people a little bit on the concept of finishing dishes with oils, more than cooking with oils, which is something that is so common in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean diets,” Dana Elemara, the founding director of Arganic, told Arab News.
She said the UK market was a prime example, particularly with regards to beauty, but was moving in the right direction.

Amway India expects health, beauty segments to revive revenue growth – Industry News

Direct selling FMCG firm Amway India is looking to clock 6-7 growth in revenue next year, driven by health and beauty segments, a top company official has said. The company, which on Tuesday introduced new products in its global premium beauty brand Artistry here, expects a double-digit growth in the segment. The FMCG major is expecting its beauty segment to contribute around 20 per cent to overall revenue in the next five years.
Amway is also investing in its online platform, which the company believes will get up to 40 to 50 per cent of sales in the coming years.
